The image below requires the Whip! driver from Autodesk to be installed.  Click whip.gif (1694 bytes) to install the driver now.

Once installed, you may zoom, pan, plot or save this detail by clicking on the right mouse button to active the menu. 

You may also drag and drop it into an AutoCAD drawing.  To do this, hold down the CONTROL key while dragging and drop it into AutoCAD R14 via the INSERT command, or hold down both the SHIFT and CONTROL keys to perform an OPEN command.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR LOW VOLTAGE STEP & BRICK LIGHTS
(NOTE:
This installation instruction applies to both rectangular and round housing step lights)

FOR USE ONLY WITH LOW VOLTAGE LANDSCAPE POWER UNITS THAT DO NOT EXCEED 25 AMPS, 15 VOLT MAX.

WARNING:  Fixture must be installed in accordance with local codes of the National Electrical Code (NEC).  Failure to do so may result in serious injury and/or damage to the fixture.

SAFETY WARNING: Fixture can become very hot depending upon the lamp wattage used.  Lens and metal around the lamp can become hot enough to blister hands.  Particular care should be take no to locate fixtures where small children can reach them if high wattage lamps are used.

LUMINARIES ARE NOT TO BE INSTALLED WITHIN 10 FT. (3.05 M) OF A POOL OR SPA.

 

TOOLS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION:
  • Phillips Screwdriver
  •   Wire Stripper
  •  Flat Blade Screwdriver
  •   Cutting Saw
  •   Drill

INSTALLATION IN EXISTING WALLS / WOOD DECKS:

  1. To prevent electrical shock, disconnect transformer from electrical supply before installation or service.
  2. Remove the reflector assembly from fixture.
  3. Using the fixture housing / junction box as a template, mark the location of the box on the wall.
  4. Cut hole in wall to accept the housing / junction box.
    NOTE: Remove any insulation within six (6) inches of where box will be installed.
  5. Insert junction box into cut hole and secure tightly against wall.
  6. Using the two (2) blue wirenut connectors (supplied), connect the wire leads from behind the reflector to the 18-2 cable pigtail (also supplied) exiting the junction box (see figure).
  7. Install reflector and lamp.
  8. Install cover plate to junction box and tighten screws (see figure).
  9. Strip the two (2) leads from the fixture wire.  Using the two (2) silicone filled safety connectors (supplied) connect the leads from the fixture to the main supply cable leads (see figure).

 

INSTALLATION IN MASONRY OR CONCRETE WALLS:

  1. Remove the reflector assembly from fixture.
  2. Build wood service frame and secure fixture housing / junction box to service frame.
    NOTE: Optional mounting brackets for some models are available to facilitate installation in concrete walls.
  3. Remove 1/2 inch knockout from the side or bottom of housing / junction box.
  4. Using 1/2 inch cable connector (supplied by others) pull supply wire through into housing.
  5. Cover opening of fixture with cardboard and be sure all unused electrical plugs (knockouts) are closed before concrete pour.
  6. Pour concrete.
  7. Follow steps 6 through 9 above.

 

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
LIGHTED LAMP IS HOT!!

WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, OR INJURY TO PERSONS:

  1. Turn off / unplug and allow to cool before replacing lamp.
  2. Lamps get HOT quickly!  Contact only switch/plug when turning on.
  3. Do not touch hot lens, guard or enclosures.
  4. Keep lamp away from materials that may burn.
  5. Do not touch the lamp at any time.  Use a soft cloth.  Oil from skin may damage lamp.
  6. Do not operate luminare fitting with a missing or damaged shield (cover).

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

LAMP INSTALLATION / REPLACEMENT:

CAUTION: Do not exceed maximum wattage marked on fixture label.

  1. To prevent electrical shock, disconnect transformer from electrical supply before service.
  2. Loosen cover screws and remove cover.
  3. Remove O-Ring (if available - some models do not include O-Ring).
  4. Replace lamp with correct wattage and type of lamp marked on fixture label.
    NOTE: DO NOT touch Halogen lamp with bare hands.  always use the plastic bag provided to handle the lamp.
  5. Clean O-ring and channel and re-install O-Ring (if applies).
    NOTE: O-ring channel must be cleaned and free of debris before replacing cover.
  6. Re-install cover and tighten screws evenly.
